I made it into the NT after having to pull off to the side of the road at the border checkpoint to fill out a covid form. There were all sorts of questions there like…my mother’s maiden name, first pet, make and model of first car and name of best friend at school. I answered the questions as best I could with the help of the nice young constable attending and I was on my way.

Overcast and light rain on the Barkley Highway today, the air was heavy with the smell of rain. It was the northern most tip of a significant rain event in central and southern Australia. Some cooler weather forecast for the next couple of days which could be the last of it, when it gets hot up here it is not comfortable. All the more reason to push on south to cooler climes.
