I ended up here after abandoning the previously selected camp just north of Ayr due to excessive road noise. I nearly missed this spot as I became disoriented and was about to turn around when the camp appeared.
I picked up my new portable backup generator from Ayr earlier in the day. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why I suddenly became generator tolerant.
A nice enough free camping spot. Very popular with boat fishing enthusiasts. A 4 metre saltwater crocodile was recently removed from here by National Parks.
Earlier in the day I mistook sunblock cream for skin moisteriser and I basically had to shut down for 24 hours due my skin sensitivity causing an allergic reaction, very uncomfortable.
