Lodgings: Moama Caravan Park

Alligator Creek is about 20 km south of Mackay, just inland from the Coal Loading Terminal of Hay Point. I changed my ‘4day drive to Bowen’ plan so that I could prepare the kayak for sale and advertise it in the Mackay city area which has a large regional population. As caravan parks in the city usually charge the full site rate I decided to book into the Moama Caravan Park at Alligator Creek.

I gave the kayak a thorough clean and advertised it on ebay as a complete set (kayak + accessories). While loading it back onto the bus I dropped it and snapped the mounting board. This prevented any prospect of sale so the ebay ad was paused and a new mounting board was ordered from Sydney.
