I decided not to do Port Augusta today and stopped here about 30km north. I have a list ‘to do’ in Port Augusta and want plenty of time to find a new camp on the Eyre Highway tomorrow.

This is a nice camp, fairly handy to Port Augusta, lovely bush surrounds, rail line close and plenty of space and privacy.

It looks like my quest to capture a video of one of our famous overland trains will not succeed. Having missed the Ghan on two occasions it looks like I’ll miss the Indian Pacific as well. It passes by this camp in 48 hours and I will be long gone.
