Gilbert River Camp

This camp is located on the banks of of the Gilbert River, the largest of the ‘wild’ Gulf Rivers. A quiet dusty camp good for walking in the dry season along the mostly dry river bed.

I met aussie Jenny here who was quiet nice but thought the only good crocodile was a dead one and that the wild Gulf rivers should be dammed to help the struggling farmers. This popular mind set is what progressive Australians are up against
